Please open the System Reports app and click the System Information tab on the left. If the operating system just crashed and somehow got the signal to reboot, it would be a warm reboot and you would not see the BIOS loading. Why that is crashing the entire operating system to the point BIOS is loading would seem to indicate a hardware-related issue. X Server runs the graphics in Linux Mint. This is about the eighth time that this has happened since this OS was installed, I'm right in the middle of blasting the crap out of one of the NPC's in the game and suddenly with no errors or any other indications that anything is wrong both monitors go black and then a few moments later the BIOS is loading and the PC is rebooting, eventually I'm back at the Desktop like nothing is wrong and if I load the game again it plays fine.So you know something in Open Arena is causing the graphics to crash. PC crashed again this evening while playing Open Arena, and again there was no warning just right in the middle of things the computer suddenly rebooted, it has been running continuously since at last night with no problems at all. Not sure where to go with this, PC works fine otherwise (Chrome, email, playing music etc.) and runs for days without ever crashing. When this has happened before I've stuck my hand in the tower and the back side of the GPU area of the video card is warm but not anywhere near blazing hot like you would expect for the PC to crash, this last round I loaded up "System Monitor" the memory use went from 2.5 gigs to 2.9 gigs, the 8 CPU's use went from their idle state to around 60%, the game played fine and it closed normally when I exited it. This is about the eighth time that this has happened since this OS was installed, I'm right in the middle of blasting the crap out of one of the NPC's in the game and suddenly with no errors or any other indications that anything is wrong both monitors go black and then a few moments later the BIOS is loading and the PC is rebooting, eventually I'm back at the Desktop like nothing is wrong and if I load the game again it plays fine.
